Governing Body

The Governing Body of Lambton Primary School is made up of Local Authority representatives, parents, community governors, staff governors and the head teacher.

The Governing Body is a corporate body who set the aims of the school together with the staff and put a range of policies in place to support that direction. Governors are accountable to parents and the local community through OFSTED, and they work with the head teacher and senior staff to that end. We generally meet twice a term and monitor performance through reports and discussions and offer support and challenge as appropriate. Governors are responsible for staffing, finance, premises, curriculum and future planning of the school.
