In January 2014, we held a competition to write an acrostic poem using the word ‘Lambton’ to describe how pupils feel about their school. The best lines were chosen by the School Council and are shown below. During an assembly, the whole school voted for one of the lines to become the school motto. The winning line was ‘Believe to Achieve’, penned by former pupil James.
Learning is a thing to be proud of (Dylan: Year 5)
Awesome achievements (James: Year 4)
Marvellous teaching in every subject (Holly: Year 5)
Believe to achieve (James: Year 6)
Trying your best (Year 1)
Our school is cool (Jake: Year 2B)
Never stop working hard! (Nathan: Year 4)
The acrostic poem competition was repeated in January 2015. Once again, the School Council selected the lines that make up the poem. The 2015 poem is shown below.
