School Uniform

At Lambton, students wear the agreed school uniform to promote a sense of belonging and identity.

General uniform: All children wear blue or white polo shirts and burgundy sweatshirts or cardigans with the school logo. These can be ordered on a termly basis from the office. Plain polo shirts and sweatshirts in the school colours are also acceptable. Black or grey trousers and skirts are required.

We expect children to wear their uniform smartly, with polo shirts tucked in and sweatshirt sleeves down.
Summer uniform: Boys may wear black or grey shorts, and girls have the choice of red or blue checked dresses. Girls may wear shorts if they are of an appropriate length and style.

Footwear: Girls and boys are required to wear plain black shoes without coloured trims or logos. If boots are worn in winter, trousers should be over the boots and not tucked inside. Trainers are not to be worn except for outdoor PE lessons. Sock or tights must be worn even during warm weather.

PE kit: Boys and girls wear plain white T-shirts, Lambton logo T-shirts or polo shirts and black or navy shorts. These can be bought from school. Football strips are not appropriate. Plain tracksuit bottoms in black or navy may be worn when PE is taught outside.

For swimming, girls are required to wear a one-piece swimsuit. Boys should wear trunks or swim shorts that fall at the knee or above. Children must change into swimming kit at the swimming pool and not wear costumes or trunks under their uniforms. Any child with long hair must wear a swimming hat.

Hair: Long hair should be tied back for health and safely reasons and to try and reduce incidents of head lice. Boys should not have patterns cut/shaved into their hair, and hair gel is not allowed.

Jewellery: The governors agreed that the school would have a no-jewellery policy.

Make-up: Make-up or nail varnish is not permitted for school.

Accessories: Coats, fleeces, caps and school bags are also available from the school office.

For safeguarding reasons, children are usually required to wear their uniform when they are on school trips.

Our school uniform is available at the School Outfit here.
