SCHOOL SPORT ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

The School Sport Organizing Committee (SSOC) are Year 5 and 6 children who play a role in sport and games within school. They organize activities for younger children during playtimes, assist with Foundation Stage sports day, coach teams of younger children in preparation for festivals, and have a say in the types of sport equipment purchased via Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers. Games mentors also form part of the Games Committee which organizes the Sainsbury’s School Games Sports Day and organize and run intra-school sport competitions.

A selection of children attend the Change 4 Life Champions training, and all pupils train to achieve our in-house sports leadership award, The Lambton Active Leaders Award.

Well done to James and Thomas for coaching the (Year 3/4) girls and Evan and Lewis for coaching the (Year 5/6) girls in preparation for their football tournaments.
